Thursday, December 6th

No Language Arts homework tonight.

Math: Study Link 5-8

Social Studies: Information about the Mission Report and Presentation was sent home today. This is not due until sometime in March and further information will go home in 2013. We'd like the students to let us know if they have any preferences for the mission to study by next Thursday, December 13th. We'll let them know which one they are to research before the Winter Break in case an opportunity to visit their mission comes up over one of the long breaks we'll have between now and the end of February.

You do not need to visit the mission your child is assigned, but if it is possible to do so, it is always a rewarding, educational experience.

What a wonderful 4 day weekend it was. Now, back to work! A few announcements:
First, I will let you know what time I've scheduled your conference via a note in your child's Wednesday Envelope. Please remember to look for it.
Second, A packet of book orders is coming home tomorrow. It has several fliers because it is the last one we will place before the winter holidays. Plan on ordering those gifts now. If you would like us to not deliver a part of your order to your child when it comes in, let us know and we'll get that portion to you another way :)
Third, the timing is tight, but we'll take our test on Unit 4 this Thursday. I think this may be the last day I can be assured all the students will be at school since a few families are leaving town early (I think we have all enjoyed the full week off at Thanksgiving time the last two years!).
Fourth, counter to what we have done the past two years, there is school next Monday and Tuesday. I will be here and hope to see many students, too.
