What a wonderful Back to School Night we had last night. Thank you so much for being willing to come on a different night. I enjoyed meeting so many of my students obviously supportive parents. I look forward to a great year for all of us.

Homework:

Remember, it is Tuesday. All this work is due on Thursday, not tomorrow.

Language Arts - Word Ladder pages 10&11, and the "Dream On" comic strip writing paper.

Math - Study Link 1-4. The lesson for this will be tomorrow, so wait and do it after school if you have any questions at all. If you complete it today, be sure to check your work tomorrow in case you misunderstood something.

Also, complete the "My Math Class" worksheet.

Monday, August 27th

Reminder: Back to School Night for my class is Tonight. I will be out of town Wednesday because my son is getting married in Fort Collins, CO this weekend. I hope to see most of you tonight at 7:00. We will end promptly at 7:45.

Homework

Language Arts - 'Pack Your Suitcase" worksheet. Write one item for each letter of the alphabet that you might take on a trip to Canada or Mexico. Try to think of at least 20 things. It is OK to use a dictionary.

Math - Study Link 1-3. Use a ruler or straightedge to draw your lines so they are accurate.

Thursday, August 23rd

What a great class I have this year! We're getting to know each other well and beginning to understand the various classroom routines. I hope to see many of you next Monday for our exclusive Back to School Night.

Homework:

Language Arts - Complete the "Could You Be More Specific?" worksheet, front side only (it is copied on recycled paper)

Math - Study Link 1-2, Be sure you label your lines, line segments and rays correctly.

"Leave Me a Message" - Student #19-29 (last names Roensch - Young), need to follow the instructions on this handout and call me tonight, after 3:30.

Tuesday, August 21st

We've had another great day! Fourth Grade is the Best!

Homework: All homework listed below is due Thursday.

Reading: Complete the 'My Personal Strategy Review' worksheet.

Math: Give a parent the Family Letter, pages 1-4 in the Study Links book.

Technology: Complete the Blog Homework. Be sure to leave your name and a comment.
Also, student numbers 1-18 (last names Anaya-Pham) need to complete the 'Leave me a Message' homework by Thursday morning.

Music: Give a parent the Elementary Instrumental Music form to complete. This is due no later than Friday.
