Monday, December 10th

Special Note: I will have a substitute on Wednesday to collaborate with my 4th grade team. Therefore, students who are scheduled to give their speeches on Wednesday will actually give them on Thursday, Dec. 13th.

Language Arts: Metaphor page 13

Math: Practice Set #34. Watch the signs carefully. If computation problems go very slowly for you, you may choose to do only 4 of the 8 problems at the top of the page, but be sure you do at least 2 multiplication problems and one subtraction problem.

Thursday, December 6th

No Language Arts homework tonight.

Math: Study Link 5-8

Social Studies: Information about the Mission Report and Presentation was sent home today. This is not due until sometime in March and further information will go home in 2013. We'd like the students to let us know if they have any preferences for the mission to study by next Thursday, December 13th. We'll let them know which one they are to research before the Winter Break in case an opportunity to visit their mission comes up over one of the long breaks we'll have between now and the end of February.

You do not need to visit the mission your child is assigned, but if it is possible to do so, it is always a rewarding, educational experience.
